Arizona Colleges are HOT!

July 25, 2016 Colleges in Arizona are HOT! During my visit this summer, it was 113 degrees on campus tours of Arizona State University in Tempe and Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. The good news is that temperatures are much more moderate during the school year. When school starts in September, campus temperatures hover around 86°. In the late fall and winter, temperatures are in the 60's.

The tours included the amazing athletic facilities at ASU and a pool in or adjacent to every dorm at GCU. If you want to check out the area, Grand Canyon University has a program during select times of the year when you can fly into Phoenix/Tempe (at their expense) on a friday. They arrange lodging, a campus tour and events and cover your return home the next day.
