Ever heard a teen ask a friend or relative, "where you at"? I ask teens and twenty-somethings where they are in their thinking about colleges and majors every day. It's an important question and the answer varies as they move through the college and college major planning process.
Some days students feel that they know exactly where they are in their thought process and other days they are not so sure. What is most important is that they are thinking about their journey, their destination options and the fact that they have choice and can make plans to get wherever they decide to go.
It is helpful for students to know that their family is behind them in what they decide to do and that their major is their choice. Parents and advisors are critical in helping them make decisions regarding places where they can study the major of their choice.
