Why I do what I do

People frequently ask me why I like working with teens and helping them get ready for college. My answer is that it is exciting to see the potential in people and to have a hand in helping them get to places they never imagined they could go. Student skills are evolving and so is the world they are entering. Their opportunities look nothing like what was available or possible for their parents. The cost of getting ready for a bright career has also changed and there are strategies to deal with that. The stress on students and their parents during this process is enormous. Part of my job is to provide a plan that reduces stress, optimizes success and reduces cost. It is a privilege to get to work with teenagers and young adults and their families as they launch their futures. |
